On 20 March Heleen Klopper, product designer and wool specialist, will come to talk about her work. She is the creative brain behind Woolfiller, a product to help repair damaged woollen clothing. Her latest project is The Mending Collection, which reintroduces traditional darning techniques based on a specially designed material.
We tend not to keep clothes as long as we used to and we throw them away rather than repair any damage. With Woolfiller you can repair holes and marks in woollen jumpers, jackets, blankets and carpets. Workshop participants can bring their damaged woollen clothing to repair. They will learn old-fashioned darning techniques and go home with an innovative darning sampler.
